NACOGDOCHES, Texas, March 30 ---- The campus of SFA in undergoing construction as building are being torn down to make way for new buildings that will add to the look of the campus. Some of the new buildings include a new UC, parking garage, and new dormitories.

To make way for these new buildings SFA has issued that some buildings be torn down and relocated to comply with the new plans. Among the plans is the SHACK. The SHACK was created in the spring of 2005 to allow students to bring their computers to be worked on by experience technicians.

The technicians for the SHACK say that they have come to like the little white house and will be saddened when it is torn down. "Everyone here is more like friends rather than employees. That’s just how comfortable the little white house is", say Marcus Barnes who is a student technician.

The new location of Student technical support has not been determined at this point in time, but they believe that the new location will be housed within one of the new dormitories so that the technicians are closers to their problem users.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas, April 27 ---- For about two to three years Michael Powell has been devoting his time to the congregation of Covenant Community by helping them obtain a closer relationship with God and a closer relationship with each other.

Unlike other churches that hold services on Sundays in buildings containing a pulpit or pew seats, Michael Powell holds services on Saturdays in the comfort of his own home. His house provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attends.

Besides being a pastor, Michael is also a speech and debate teacher at
Longview High School. But, recently Michael has decided to give up teaching to pursue a job as an inspirational writer. He has just begun writing articles for local newspapers that post their magazines in hospitals and doctors offices. Mike hopes that this will be his new income for his family.

When Michael is not preaching or writing, he is usually spending time with his wife, Mandy, and his two sons, Miles and Miller. Michael has been enjoying the time spent with his family due to the extra time he gained from not teaching. "The first time I laid eyes on my Miles when he was born I knew that I would do anything for him", says Michael.

Michael devotes his time to being a good pastor, husband, father, and writer so much that everyone who knows him is amazed at his life. Even though he gets stressed sometimes trying to be these things, he wouldn’t give it up for the world.

Michael enjoys the love that he receives from his family and loved ones, but when it comes to his church, the love and desire he has for his congregation is beyond what other can imagine.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas, April 13 ---- For singers out there, you can now have the same excitement and fun singing to your favorite tunes right in the comfort of your own home. The Konami Digital Entertainment Company created the hit game Karaoke Revolution to allow any and everyone to sing to their favorite songs by using the Playstation 2 platform.

For some, Karaoke in bars or clubs has always been difficult to enjoy due to the loud atmosphere, and the excessive smoking. "I like this game because it allows us to enjoy singing with each other without worrying about that random drug person being loud and bothering you while you sing", says Marcus Barnes, singer and guitarist.

The Konami Digital Entertainment Company made the game fairly easy to navigate through and included features such as, different characters, Outfits, songs, and stages that are pleasing to gamers and singers.

The people at the Konami Company have already put out three volumes of Karaoke Revolution and are anxiously waiting for the next volume to come out to see what new songs, characters, and stages are available.
